2010 JUNO Nominee
Childrens Album of the Year
We Share The Earth
The Bee's Knees took flight in 2006 when sisters Andie Duncan and Cyndi Duncan-Lumsden came together to write and produce their first cd entitled "Whats the Buzz!". With several awards under their wings, The Bee's Knees has quickly become one of Canada's most musically accomplished bands making records for children today.

Andie Duncan (Actra, AFM) is the lead singer, composer and producer for The Bees Knees. Prior to writing children's music, Andie's musical career included solo artist performances of her original songs on the Lilith Fair stage, as well as opening theatre dates for a number of higher profile artists including k.d. Lang, Holly Cole, Jann Arden, Paula Cole and Joe Cocker.

Cyndi Duncan-Lumsden (BA, B.ed) is the co-writer and principle lyricist for The Bee's Knees. Cyndi draws on her 22 years of experience as a primary teacher to capture the interests and moods of the children she teaches when writing songs.

On the heels of the success of their award winning debut cd, The Bees Knees followed up Whats the Buzz?! with We Share the Earth which has garnered the group a number of impressive accolades. Andie and Cyndi were thrilled to win the award for Favourite Childrens Group at the 2010 Canadian Independent Music Awards (The "Indies"), and were over the moon about their 2010 JUNO Nomination for Best Childrens Album.

As The Bees Knees head into production on their 3rd album, they continue to write catchy, upbeat original tunes with strong melodies and solid production sounds. Their songs inspire and entertain children, while engaging parents at the same time. The Bees Knees are very excited to be embarking on an animated film project currently in development to support their music
